"Canada Day"

Hey folks!
It's Wednesday p.m. - I'm out for a while tonight.... and want to have this posted for Thursday morning...
Here is my Canada Day card! I had this brain wave to make a red and white card for Canada Day ... should have used Real Red.
BUT - I love this new color - `Cherry Cobbler` - so decided to use it and white.
I used the new Hostess set `Because I Care` ... I hope you can see the dimension to the flower... I stamped it 4 times and cut it out, smaller and smaller; then using dimensionals, I built it up! The ribbon is white organza that I dyed with the Cherry Cobbler ink ... using a sponge and ink pad!

Have a wonderful Canada Day!
Give thanks for the freedoms we enjoy in this beautiful country we live in!
Smile, live, laugh, and love -
Stay safe!
Blessings ---- *Ruthie*

"Window Card"

Hi All!
Well that was a rainy night wasn't it? After a gorgeous Sunday!
Here is another card I made along the same lines as the cased one I showed you the other day .. this time I used the scallop punch instead of the square punch ... I think I like this one better.

Thanks for peeking in today .. my cattys are on their way .. today I hope!
Have a good one!

First Christmas Card for 2010!

Can you believe it? This beautiful sunny summer day and I made a Christmas card! Go figure! Hey! Betcha I'm one ahead of some of you!
And here it is!

I used the Holiday Lineup stamp set which is new to me... all coloring was done with the new In colors and Soft Suede; In Color CS; and greeting from Christmas Greetings. Oh Yes. The snowflake is from Snow Swirled.
I won't make a habit of this, I promise.
Gotta run!
See you on Monday!
Have a greeeeeeeaaaaaat weekend!
Blessings...

A Cased Card!

Hey!
It's Wednesday evening...
This has been a rainy day! But the gardens sure need rain! So it is a good thing!
I fnished my craft room cleaning and purging... have all my inks and CS sorted and organized according to the new Color Collections from Stampin' Up! I LOVE the Brights.... and the new colors!

Mid afternoon a friend dropped in and we just had to make a card! You know how it is.  :)
We cased this card from Selma at Selma`s Stampin Corner - from her card for June 10. This is not the same as hers - size is smaller and fold is different. Used her idea and am lovin` it!

Hope you enjoyed.
I have another one to show you soon - using the same idea but not the same. Makes me think of the children`s song... ``which of these things is not like the other`` .... don`t ask my why my ole brain went there! :)

Have a great evening and a blessed day tomorrow!
