10 days later....

Hey!
Can you believe this? The temp is 9 degrees C at the moment! We have been so spoiled - it is great for travelling: I spent a few days at my daughters; then she and Madi-Joy were here last weekend; today hubby and I are are on the road making deliveries of his Christmas turkeys; and hopefully we will return to daughters on Boxing Day. Maybe by now you have figured out the reason for me not posting for 10 days! :)

I am "Christmas Card making" depleted! Have been for a while... we began a Christmas Card Club at the end of August so by December I had had my fill! Yesterday I cleaned my craft room and put all the Christmas stuff away for another year and hauled out my NEW stuff... of course I began "playing" - How could I not? BUT - I have nothing to show you today. I definitely will return before the end of the year with some sneak peeks at the Mini and SAB items I have.

In the mean time here are a couple pics I took on the 13th of December ... the poor flowers and such don't know whether they should be resting for winter or getting ready to sprout! This weather can't be good for them!

Here is a Lily peeking thru the ground...

This one is looking down on a bunch of daffodils that give me great pleasure in the springtime! Can you see them?

And here is the Japanese Guinz shrub - not a leaf on it... beginning to bud!

Gotta run! Have a great day!

Coral And Navy Christmas

Good Morning!
Whoa! Is it ever windy out there!!!!! I'm some glad it isn't snowing!
I have a Christmas Card to show you today ... the colors are not the norm for Christmas but it works for me!
I used the retired slot punch to create slots for the ribbon to slide thru; used mica flakes at the base of the tree and glitter on the tree.

I have not made anymore Christmas cards (yet) - but I have been doodling and such.... so stay tuned ... I'm thinking that maybe we need to postpone Christmas by about one week so I can catch up! Being sick for a week or so put me behind! :(
oh well! It is what it is! Thanks for stopping by today - may today be a joyful one!

"Blue" Christmas

Good Morning!
The sun  is shining, it is 6 degrees C - AND - it is December 1st! Go Figure!!! Hubby has Christmas music playing on the TV - right now I'm listening to Elvis - thought this would be a good time to show you a "Blue Christmas Card" ...

This is a card we made at our last Christmas Card class - the Doily is versa marked and then embossed with white embossing powder .... LOVE IT!!!! After embossing we sponged layers of ink over the embossing. The little French Knot is made by tying a knot in a piece of ribbon and rather than using the flat part of the knot (which is what we usually do) we used the backside... pulled the ends of the ribbon thru a hole in the center of the doily and adhered them to the back of the CS. I saw this online somewhere weeks ago ... don't remember who to give credit to - but - "Girl you rock"!!! Love this and I know I'll be using this again and again... Enjoy!

The "Stamping French Knot" ...

Here is another "BLUE" card for you ... before I did any sponging I masked with a straight edge of scrap CS and sponged so that I would have a perfectly straight line to stamp the message under... I then sponged the hills and did a little light sponging for the sky; then stamped the image with Early Espresso. Don't you love this one? I do. It would look really nice with glitter added to it! Ummmm - next one!

Have a wonderful day!
Blessings and HUGS!
