After the Rain!

WOW! Did it ever rain here yesterday and last night! and did the wind blow!!!! Quite a storm... our power flickered a couple times last night  but stayed on. I hear that others weren't so fortunate!
And - boy! - do my muscles ache... as they have for days now....
"NUFF!!!

I experimented with a new to me technique last week - the Herringbone Technique - and had some fun with it - so I created a card which we made at our Kreations Klub this past Saturday.

Hopefully you can see the V-pattern in this one...

This is just a sample I had made ... the pattern is stripes rather than the V...
Since doing this I saw a card on someone's blog using the Mocha Morning DSP.... oh it was sooooo pretty - think I will give that one a try in the next few days.

I hope you all stay safe and warm and dry today! Thanks for stopping by!

Blessings and HUGS!

Young Vermillion

Hey!
It's a beautiful day out there today!!!!
Hope you are having a productive one!!!!
Here is a card I made the other afternoon - the Young Vermillion stamp is retiring as of the end of May - isn't he just the cutest little bird? The base CS is also  retired from a year or so ago; I made my own Navy ribbon by dying a piece of white organza with the navy ink!  I took a marker and extended the brach off the end of the white CS ... This seemed to "anchor" him -otherwise he looked like he was floating in mid-air!

Thanks for stopping by today! I have Klub here tomorrow ... we always have such fun! I will have some pics for you after that!

This Is A Winner!

Hi Everyone!
I have just been given some "freedom" .... well! I was supposed to have a luncheon meeting and it's been moved to next week so I can continue on with the painting in my dining room - after I share this with you!

A couple weeks ago I left a comment on a blog that I visit quite frequently - As The Ink Dries - http://www.sharonburkert.com - and I was the winner of the March tutorials from Craft Project Central!
Really great ideas - I will share my projects over time on this blog.

Here is one I had to make right away ... of course, I put my own spin on it - but the basic idea came from the info I won! I used the Triple Treat Flower stamp - Yesterday Stampin' Up! revealed the Retirement List and this stamp is on it! :( I don't use it a lot but I do like it - so it probably will stay in my cupboard and NOT go in the sale box! If you want one of your own you must order it before June 1st - this is the date for the new 2012-2013 Catalogue.  I do have a bunch of sets though that I will be selling in order to make room for more! :)))
BUT - Back to the card ... very simple - I used the Summer Smooches DSP; brads in the flowers; the leaves are the bird wing from the Bird Builder punch (in DSP); and the butterfly is from the Beautiful Wings embosslit.

Here is the card - open!
Thanks for stopping by today! I must get going so I can get my room finished ... see you later this week!
Keep smiling and Keep stampin`!

Lattice Pop-Up

Good afternoon! I trust no one out there is superstitious! It being the 13th and all! LOL!
I have another lattice card to share with you ... using the lattice inside the card to create a "pop-up" -
Here is the outside ... using the Summer Smooches DSP and the daffy delight ribbon - not too sure that I like this 3some!

Here are 3 views of the inside for you -

Gotta run to town to do some errands! Groceries, paint, meds.... and all!
See you next week!
Have a great weekend!

Razzleberry lattice

Good Morning....
I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!

I have another Lattice card to show you today...
This is a pretty simple card... Again I used the bird builder punch for the little bird - and I cut the `points` off the lattice to give the `circular look` to it!

The flower was made using the 5 petal flower punch... The other day a friend and I cut out a bunch of lattices - saving all the pieces - sooooo - once I punched out the flower I took some of the DSP oval pieces and placed them on the CS with a brad and - Voila! a pretty flower! Then I took one of the diamond shaped pieces for the leaf! Pretty cool, aye....
Have a wonderful Easter Monday holiday! Keep Smiling! and Keep Stampin`!
