Lattice Pop-Up

Good afternoon! I trust no one out there is superstitious! It being the 13th and all! LOL!
I have another lattice card to share with you ... using the lattice inside the card to create a "pop-up" -
Here is the outside ... using the Summer Smooches DSP and the daffy delight ribbon - not too sure that I like this 3some!

Here are 3 views of the inside for you -

Gotta run to town to do some errands! Groceries, paint, meds.... and all!
See you next week!
Have a great weekend!

Razzleberry lattice

Good Morning....
I hope everyone had a great Easter weekend!

I have another Lattice card to show you today...
This is a pretty simple card... Again I used the bird builder punch for the little bird - and I cut the `points` off the lattice to give the `circular look` to it!

The flower was made using the 5 petal flower punch... The other day a friend and I cut out a bunch of lattices - saving all the pieces - sooooo - once I punched out the flower I took some of the DSP oval pieces and placed them on the CS with a brad and - Voila! a pretty flower! Then I took one of the diamond shaped pieces for the leaf! Pretty cool, aye....
Have a wonderful Easter Monday holiday! Keep Smiling! and Keep Stampin`!

Lattice, Summer Smoochies and more!

Hey there!
Hope you had a great day .... mine was a busy one!

Just a quick post to share with you a card I made the other day... used the lattice die and backed it with some of the new DSP that is available in April and then not again until the new catalogue goes LIVE at the first of June! Loving the summer "feel" of this card!

Here - on the inside - is the "negative" aspect of a piece after the lattice has been cut out an removed - I backed it with some Whisper White to use as the inside of the card...
Have a "Happy Easter" everyone! I so love this time of year! And am so thankful for the mercy shown to me by such an amazing God!

Blessings and HUGS!

Summer Solstice Adorning Accents

Hi everyone!
Hope your day is going well thus far! I awoke with a head cold - well, actually went to bed with it ! :) Sure don't need this right now - or any time! :(
I used the Adorning Accents Edgelit and Embossing Folder on this card... Guess I won't be playing much with them today but maybe tomorrow!

I apologize for the photos... the base CS is Old Olive but it doesn't look it in this photo! :(
Here is the Edgelit and Folder used on this piece of DSP...
 This is the card -

And here is the inside - as I look at this now I wish I had used the Edgelit and Folder on the inside piece of CS.... next time!
Thanks for stopping by! One good thing about computers is that you can't catch THIS virus from me!!! LOL!
Have a great day! See you soon!

You Make My Whole Face Smile!

Happy Valentine's Day!
I'm a little late today .... but - "better late than never".... as they say!
Here is a card that we made at our January Klub - it is the Valentine I gave my grand-daughter because she does just that .... "makes my whole face smile"! :0
I apologize ... the color in this pic isn't the best.... I used Daffodil Delight, Eggplant and Olive but you'd never know it! :(

Ohhhhhh ... I really like the new stitched ribbon!
Thanks for stopping by.... hope your day is filled with lots of love!

Top Note, Fab Florets, and a Little Lace!

Hey Stampers!
TGIF!
Thank Goodness It's Friday! Thank Goodness I'm Female! Thank God I'm Forgiven!
I think they all apply today! :)

I made this card after seeing a similar one somewhere in blogger-land! :) The other card maker used an oval instead of the top note and placed her flowers differently than I have ... but her card was the inspiration!

Using Early Espresso ink I stamped the Fabulous Florets flowers on DSP and then cut them out - same for the little leaves ... tedious but well worth the effort! Most of the flowers are popped for dimension! This DSP is from the Sale-A-Bration! It is soooo pretty! I had intended to add some lace around the top note and forgot to do it before I had adhered it to the CS.... so - a bow came from that! And I quite like this bow! :) A couple of glue dots keep the tails bent rather than lying flat.

Here is the inside of the card!
I just might use this as a card for the Kreations Klub this month! :)
Thanks for stopping by - Have a wonderful day!

Embossing, Punches, and more...

Hi Everyone!
I'm having trouble getting started here so I am just going to dive right in! LOL! These 2 cards are thank you cards I made last week. Hope you enjoy....

For the background of both cards I stamped one of the images from "Four Frames" on some neutral CS; cut a piece the size I wanted and then dry embossed it. For this first card I used Black and White as my colors. I used 3 punches for the flower - Blossom, Doily Triple Layer, Boho Blossoms ... layered with dimensionals and placed a pearl in the center.... simple yet pretty!

Here is the inside - a place for me to write a personal note ...
This card is very similar to the first except the colors are Vanilla and Soft Suede (don't yah love that soft suede???); the ribbon is retired (SS with polka dots - I turned it over so the dots don't show).
Here is a close up of the flower....
Have a great day! Enjoy the sunshine or the snow - whichever wins out! LOL!

Language of Friendship

HI!
It has been a while since I've been here - I apologize for that ... seems this past week was a busy one for me and I didn't make it to the crafting stuff ... along with the fact that the mojo was lacking! I received a couple new stamp sets the other day and today I decided to play! This has been a "free day" - no running around and time to just create!

This  was a "tiddly" (is that a word?) card for me... but I quite enjoyed putting it together! The set "Language of Friendship" uses 2 coordinating punches ... Boho Blossoms and Bird Builder ... I punched out an extra branch, wing, and flower for this card. Also - I saw this idea for the ribbon on a site I visited this week - so had to give it a try! :) Oh yes! I also used one of the Designer Frames ... have I told you how much I love these? LOL! (probably every post since I received them!)

Thanks for stopping by today!
I will try to be more faithful in the future!
Blessings on yah!

Designer Frames

Good Morning Stampers!
I did get a chance to "play" a little yesterday ... only b/c I had to make a card for a special gal! :0 I used one of the "Designer Frames" found on page 218 in the IB&C - I've been seeing these everywhere so thought I would give them a try! And I used the stamp - "Leaves of a Tree" found in the Holiday Mini. The sentiment is a retired one but so appropriate for her as she enters into a new aspect of her journey with the Lord - which will be adventerous for sure! :)

Here is the frame with the sentiment inserted on a piece of Whisper White -

This is the card .... it speaks for itself!
Have a wonderful day! I hope you will not be overcome with busy-ness and that you find time to relax and enjoy all that is around you!

Happy Birthday Flowers!

Hi Everyone...
Feels like Fall these past couple of days! I love Fall - but it has come upon us too soon for my liking!
Here is a card I made for a friend who turned 50 yesterday! A bunch of gals got together last week and had a little surprise party for her! And we pulled it off - She was surprised! Always so glad when that happens!

I used the Two Tags die and the Flower Burst die ... I had seen these flowers done this way on wee inklings blog      http://weeinklings.blogpot.com/ ..... I love how they turned out! She's a Purple lover so the card had to have many shades of purple on it! LOL!

Hope you enjoyed your peek - have a great "rest of the day"!
Thanks for stopping by!

Scallops, Scallops, and More Scallops!

No! No!
Not the "fish" kind - I don't like them!
Paper Scallops!
The other day I received a S. Up! order with the Scallop Circle Die (large one) in it.... just had to put it too use. Here are 2 Scallop cards I made by folding the CS in half and placing the fold just below the edge of the die so that the fold remains after the CS has been run through the die. Hope that makes sense. :)

Once I had the circles cut I embossed them with embossing folders. Then I stamped on the larger scallop from the Scallop Circle #2 die - colored the images and - voila! There you have it! A small, simple card!

I know! I know! Who ever heard of a pink swan! She is my original! ;)
Hope you had a good day today and enjoyed your peek here!
Blessings!

Iridescent Ice Cardinal

Good afternoon!
I see SUNSHINE!
After mega rain and people stranded and roads washed out and bridges destroyed.... the rain has stopped and the sun is shining! Hallelujah!

Just a quick post to share a card I just completed - using Whisper White and Soft Suede. I used VersaMark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder on the Cardinal image... and used a strip of a piece of white CS embossed in the CB ( I brayered the Vintage Wallpaper folder from S. Up! and ran it thru the CB to give this neat wallpaper look.) I debated adding a ribbon of another color and decided against it. I like this with just the 2 colors. Hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by...
Have a great day! Keep the Son shining in your heart!

This is not a Christmas Card!

Hey!
I wanted to just "play" today ... and not think about the Christmas Cards I still need to make ... to do something a little different... so here it is! I have this DSP paper from the Holiday Mini - which will be closing as of January 4, 2010... it's called Night and Day Speciality ... [all black and white and a couple sheets of vellum]. I had the urge to make a black and white card that was NOT a sympathy card.... I added the Bermuda Blue as an accent color and think it turned out quite nice!
The other day a friend and I cut out some chip board pieces using the Nesties - to allow us to have an "unembossed" space with embossing around it when we run the CS thru the CuttleBug or Big Shot. I like how that turned out too!
Am I sounding pretty prideful today? Don't mean to! But I'm feeling the MOJO again! Finally!!! :0

Here is the inside where I will add a note of appreciation to some special person or people!
Hope you enjoyed this peek into my little world today!
Have a wonderful week!

Inspiration Challenge #209

Yesterday afternoon I visited Mercy Kerin's blog ... where she had created a card for the Inspiration Challenge at splitcoast...
So I thought I'd give it a try as well ... The idea was to go to Charm Lady Boutique and use something from there as your inspriration... here is the charm I chose
Here is the card I made using this charm as my inspiration....

I used DP from "The Write Stuff" - this is Ruby Red in color; of course, my old standby of Old Olive CS; the Elegant Bouquet Embossing folder. I embossed the CS and then used the bleach technique on it. The sentiment is from the Friendly Words Wheel - which I cut apart to give me lots of versatility!

Here is the inside! I will write a note of thanks here - a friend is bringing us some homemade beans this afternoon ... she made a double batch of the best beans in the world - as far as I'm concerned! Thanks, Janet! :0

And here is my "humility square" - see the ink at the top of the card front? I still had my ink pad open when I opened the card and voila! there's ink on the front... so - I must confess that I'm not as perfect as everyone thinks I am! ha ha ha ha ha! :)
I hope you enjoyed your visit here today!
Blessings on yah!

It's The Season! Isn't It?????

Hey!
It's sure hard to tell by the weather and the temperature that it is the middle of November and that Christmas is just a little more than a month away! But - That is the truth!!!!

I worked on a few more Christmas cards last Saturday and wanted to show them to you... I went with a "white on white" scheme with just a little color! It is hard to tell in this first card - but the mats are made using S. Up! gold paper.... it's much prettier in real life! I glittered and popped one tree - actually only stamped half of this particular stamp from Lovely As A Tree. It is hard to see but I sponged the sky with bashful blue!

here is the inside.....
Another one using glitter, the single tree from "Lovely as a Tree"... and some S. Up! ribbon.

I made a few more along the same lines as these two ....
Hope you enjoyed your peek today!
Have an awesome day!

Autumn Meadows

Good Morning!
I did get a card made yesterday - late afternoon. I used the new Fall DP - Autumn Meadows... I LOVE the colors in it! Also used the "leaves" die cut and the new label punch. The ribbon is retired Chocolate Chip Satin ribbon ...isn't it gorgeous? I'm quite happy with this card! I made this a 51/2 by 51/2 ... ummmmmm ... I seem to be making this size lately too!

Here is a view of the inside of the card - placed on an angle. Thanks for stopping by today!

Simple Thank You!

Hi all!
Another beautiful day yesterday! Started the Relish in the p.m. - has to sit overnight - and is finished in the morning! I took Teddie for a walk on the waterfront ... it was quite warm! He's a little trooper... all 2 pounds of him! :) Here he is chewing on a piece of grass a week ago!

I made 2 cards the other day ... used the CuttleBug and the new In Colors with matching ribbon; Pocket Silhouette stamp and Scallop Square punch. So easy to do .... I like these ... may have to do a few more in other colors and put a package together - using different sentiments!

Hope you enjoyed your peek today!
Have a good one!
