A Simple Thank you!

Good afternoon!

It's a rather dismal one! I went into my "craft room" to begin to pack my bag for a "stampin' night" with some girlfriends... a bunch of us are getting together tonight to stamp and chat at our church... But I can't for the life of me figure out what to take! Guess that means I have too much to choose from??? So - sitting on the table was a piece of Pacific Point with the gold attached ... and I just began to "play" from there... coloring some flowers; stamping a large piece of white with flowers and a few leaves...
Here is a simple thank you card using a flower from the Fifth Avenue set; using In Color Ink; & some dew drops!
Pretty basic - pretty simple - pretty!
I really have to go get my act together and get my bag packed soon!

See Yah!
Thanks for looking!

Smiles and hugs!

Pacific Point Card

Hi All!
Well! I finally completed the card to go with the ..... ..... did you guess? It is a teacup that was my mom's. She has been gone for almost 20 years now. I kept some of her most beautiful teacups as I loved the colors! That's me!!! Lovin' colors!!!
I can remember when I was a kid she would have special guests come in for tea and would bring out the special cups and saucers - this was one of them. Isn't it gorgeous?

Here is the card I made using this cup and saucer as my inspiration! I stamped the flowers with Chocolate Chip and colored them in with markers and blender pen... clear embossed each image as I went along as I wanted some depth to the flowers ... it worked pretty well! I scored the Gold CS with my scor Pal and used the Nesties "Labels 2"... I really like how this turned out. Hope you do too!
Have a great evening - see you tomorrow! Ruthie

Better Pic ???

Here is a better picture of the trifold card I posted about this morning...
at least, I hope it is a better pic!!! :0

Tri-fold With Flower

Hi all!
As I am getting ready to post this I see that the counter is at 1497 ... meaning that sometime today it will hit the 1500 mark! How cool is that??!!!!
Please leave me any comments you might have regarding how you would like to see things changed - if at all; or if you have questions or want info, whatever! I love hearing from you!

I'm posting a card I made Monday evening... cut my CS lengthwise from top to bottom so the initial piece was 11" long by 4 &1/4" .... then scored it at 2" and 6&1/2"... did some diagonal score lines on the front panel; stamped the small flowers on the white flower from the "Pretties Kit"....
also stamped them on the inside CS...
So easy to do! Any stamps would work to make a quick card for someone!

Have a great day!
Peace and Joy -

Demo Swap - April

Hi Everyone!
Here is the card I made for our Demo meeting last night. I used the set Wagon Full of Fun from the new Occasions Mini and I used Kiwi Kiss with the Pink. We met to put final plans to our Spring fling expo being held May 9/09 at Maple Grove from 9:30 - 1:30. Make sure to mark this date on your calendar!

Previously I had made this same card using Riding Hood Red with the Pink ... not sure which I like best? How about you? I added glitter to the frosting on both cards although it is difficult to see in the pics; and the diamond shape was scored with the Scor-pal.Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Scor-Pal Thank You

Hi everyone!
Hope you're having a great weekend. I have been creating away - Trying to use up some scraps I've had kicking around... you know! That pile of "stuff" that didn't get used for another project and gets set aside for a later time - which sometimes is a long time coming!
I made this card all from pieces such as that - even the red base - this was a piece I had cut for a Valentine card! The green was run thru the CuttleBug using S.Up! plates; the scalloped green and the DP were pieces I had cut for "something"; the Vanilla was scored with my new Scor-Pal, then pierced with my piercing tool and a small flower stamped in some of the blocks; the leaves on the scallop piece (which was for an Easter card - as was the ribbon) were ones I found when I locted my stash of beads a few weeks ago! LOL :0
Not bad, aye?
Try it some time! Haul out those scraps and test your creativity!!!!
Hope you enjoyed!
Blessings!

Potter's Hand Scor-Pal

TGIF!
I imagine there are a lot of you saying "thank goodness it's Friday!" Since I retired it really doesn't matter much to me - except I like the weekends my hubby has off .... and that is this coming weekend (a 4 day one!).

I received my Scor-Pal on Thursday... of course, I had to put it to use almost immediately! Have found some interesting things to do with it! Will be sharing them as I go along!
Here is a 51/2 X 51/2 card I made using the new Our Daily Bread set "The Potter's Hand" -
I scored the 5 X 5 piece of Very Vanilla, sponged it, stamped the pots in Really Rust and stamped them off once, each, before stamping them on the VV. Then stamped a set of pots and colored them ... the rest is pretty basic! I haven't made a card this size for a while - think I like it for a change!

Have a wonderful day and a great weekend!
Resting in HIM,
Ruthie
