Mixed Bunch Butterfly

Hey!
Have you recovered from all the Christmas activity? We had busy days here and then we travelled a couple of days to visit with family... took me til today to feel rested again. I have a card to show you today that is a sneak peek at a stamp set from the Occasions Mini that comes out as of January 4, 2012... and some DSP and ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration event which starts January 24th...

I used Poppy Parade as the main CS - love this color!

The butterfly is made by cutting one of the flowers in the stamp set into a butterfly shape... there is a card done similar to this in the Mini... I had to try it and quite like the result! I cut a shape from DSP to put behind the stamped image - and I curled the wings of the stamed image.

Here is the card ... Going to use this as a birthday card ... the sentiment comes from the set "Friendly Phrases" found in the '11-'12 IB&C

This is the inside - where I will write a personal note.
Thanks for visiting with me thru 2011 ...
Stay safe this New Year's Eve -
I'll see you in the New Year!
Blessings and HUGS!

Wisteria Sneak Peek!

Good Morning!
The sun is shining!
And here is a "Sunny" card for you today! The card base is Wisteria Wonder - a new In Color ... the pieces are matted with Elegant Eggplant from the Regal Collection. The DSP is from "Cheerful Treat"; and the stamps are from "Posy Punch" - both the DSP and the stamps are Hostess benefits from the 2011-1012 Idea Book & Catalogue. Hey! It's time now to be thinking about a workshop for July .... call me and we'll set a date!

For the leaves I used the Bird Builder punch .... (the 3 tiny leaves are the bird wings). I used the Fancy Flower punch on the stamped flowers; a 1" punch for "Hello"; and the Large Oval punch for the "mat" behind "hello".

Thanks for peeking in this morning!
I hope you have a wonderful day - and weekend. Remember to hug the ones you love!
Blessings!

Like a Gold Finch...

Hi all!
Anyone who knows me well knows that I love the birds! They bring me such joy! The other afternoon a friend was over and the Gold Finches were flitting here and there - the air, trees, and the feeder seemed to be filled with yellow and black! How beautiful! Here is my creation based on these little birds! :)
The bird is from a retired set ... I used papers from the DSP package which will be available as of May 1st!; S. Up! Rhinestones and Ribbon... and I did a little "doodling" of my own.
 This is the inside....
Hope you enjoyed your peek here today... thanks for stopping by!

Doily Triple Layer Punch Border

Good Morning!
I hope everyone slept well last night ... I recall being awakened by rain just pelting down!!! but it lulled me back to sleep ... and that's a good thing! :)

As I peruse the net I have seen many borders using the Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch - and since I didn't preorder that one I decided to have a go at using the punch I do have. Remember... they both - and much more - will be available as of May 1st - in the Summer Mini. I also used the DSP "Beyond the Garden".

The colors here don't do this card justice! It is so much brighter in real life ! :)
Have a wonderful day!
Keep a smile on your face and in your heart!
Blessings and HUGS!

On this card I used a Doily punchout! (featured in yesterdays post); DSP - "Beyond the Garden"; and an image from the stamp set "Touch of Kindness" - all found in the Summer Mini ... and available for purchase as of May 1st.

I used So Saffron as the base CS; Pacific Point to mat with; colored the image with markers and a blender pen ...

This is the inside of the card...
I have Kreations Klub here tonight..... must go do my final preparations for that!
Have a great day!

Summer Mini "Sneak Peek" ...

Good morning!

What a time I had getting my last delivery from Stampin' Up! It had nothing to do with S. Up! ... had to do with the carrier making the delivery! I was beginning to think I would have to stand in the middle of the highway and flag them down as they went by! After lots of phone calls and frustration - it finally arrived and I have had two busy days since then. So, I don't have a sample card to show you .....
BUT -

I have the Doily Triple Layer Punch which is one of the two new triple punches in the Summer Mini ...available as of May 1st. I love this - can't wait to really sit and create with it!
These punches enable you to have 3 different punchouts from the one punch! You gotta love that!!! :) All you do is set the button on your desired end result and voila! How cool!

And here are what the punchouts look like....
Hope you enjoyed your brief sneak peek this morning... off for lunch with a friend soon... gotta run! No creating today - well! maybe tonight! Hopefully I'll have something to show you tomorrow!
Have a good one!

Blessings and HUGS!

SPRING ... is blossoming!

Hi everyone! I have a Sneak Peek for you today! Gotta love that!

Between April 1 to 30, 2011 you will be able to purchase the Paisley Petals DSP and the Four Frames Stamp Set when you place a $25.00 Stampin' Up! order; or by hosting a $460.00 workshop. This DSP and stamp set will be available after that in the 2011-2012 Idea Book & Catalogue.
As a demonstrator I was able to pre-order these items.... and I have to tell you "I love this DSP".

Here is the first card I made using this paper and stamp set.....

Don't you just love that print???? Wait til you see some of the others! I used Bravo Burgundy, Marina Mist and Whisper White CS. Check out the little bird on the sentiment frame.... used markers to color in the bird. Cut the frame out with the decorative label punch... punched out a couple extra and cut them to make a mat around the "frame".
I hope you enjoyed your peek here today.
Thanks for stopping by!

Sneak Peek! AND - an Announcement!

Hi All!
I looked at my stampin' table Saturday morning and there sat some images I had stamped a while back that I have done nothing with yet .... I decided that whatever I make over the next couple of days would use these images! So - here is a sneak peek at my humble beginnings... this bird is from the level 2 Hostess set called "Wings of Friendship". Isn't he a beauty?

I will return at a later date to show you the finished projects.

We have had so much fun at the Stampin' Up! Hostess Club that I've decided to begin another club of a bit shorter duration. Required to start are 7 dedicated stampers who are willing to commit to ordering a total of $30.00 per month [before shipping & handling, and taxes]. This will enable each stamper to be a one-time hostess and recieve hostess benefits on her night.
This Club will start on May 10, 2010 ... and will continue through November for a total of 7 months (thus the need for 7 hostesses)... meeting on the second Monday of each month from 7 - 9 p.m. If you are interested in being part of this Club or have any questions shoot me an email at thisistheday@ns.sympatico.ca

I must have commitments from 7 people by April 30th, 2010 in order for this to become reality! :)

The benefits of joining such a club:
- each member receives a free Idea Book and Catalogue, and any minis that come out during the duration of the club.
- the opportunity to be a hostess and receive hostess benefits
- fun and more fun -
- learn some new techniques - each night we will do a technique with instructions and a card to file it on so you can complile your own technique booklet
- do 2 -3 cards/projects per evening.
- and did I say fun?

Thanks for peeking in today.
Blessings!
