Good Morning Stampers!
It's a dull dreary day here... but - I am listening to some joyful music so my insides are singing! :)
I have been having so much fun with the All Dressed framelits; haven't even used the stamp set yet .. hope to today.
The other night a friend dropped by to make some cards - here are two that I made. I am making a set of blank note cards as a gift, so had to have some "dresses" in there!
Thanks for stopping by...
Have a great day!

Swallowtail Challenge
Hi Stampers!
In January I put out a challenge to the Kreations Klub gals to make something using the new Swallowtail stamp. Each one did something different! I just love to see their creative minds at work! I have pics to share of what some of them did for this challenge:
Here is Cindy's shadowbox ... very creative!
Debbie's card ... note the pearls on the end of the antenni
Myra's card ... note the rhinestone eyes!
Pauline turned her embossed image into a card of the same shape... neat idea.
This is my card ...
and a close up of the bow in the corner...
I am off to my "Kreations Korner" - hoping to try my hand at the chalkboard technique.
Have a great weekend!
Hugs!

For You - Just Because!
Hey stampers!
It's been a full day today:
... designing and preping for Card Klub which is tomorrow. I always want the girls to have a great time, therefore I try to step out of the box for them, while keeping the cards simple enough to finish in our alloted time. Hopefully their creative juices will "kick in" afterwards and they will build on the cards they have made here;
... cleaner was here to do her regular cleaning - and we took apart the kitchen and did some "spring cleaning"! I am no longer able to do this by myself - what a blessing she has been to me!
I have 2 Klub cards to show you ....
Here is another Tri-Fold card - the butterflies and the "for you" are embossed with the new Pool Party embossing powder. Love it!
This next card uses the sandable CS and the Secret Garden stamps... Just Because is stamped on one of the Secret Garden die cutouts ...
The colors used for this card are all In colors. Don't you love them together?
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
I will return next week with some Klub pics. In January I gave them a challenge using the swallowtail butterfly stamp - hope to see some awesome projects tomorrow!
Hugs and blessings!

Tri - Fold Tag Card
Hey there peeps!
I have made 3 attempts to post a card on my blog... Can't do it on my computer ... Blogger says they can't complete my request.
I am writing this from my iPad and don't know how to get a picture from my camera roll onto my blog post ... So, I guess you are out of luck! I made the cutest tri-fold tag card this afternoon and really wanted you to see it!
I'll keep trying!

SURPRISE!
Good Morning!
You may have been wondering where I have been and what I've been up to...
I have written a book - a Devotional Study Book ...
entitled "Finding JOY in the midst ... planting your roots deep!"
It is being printed as I write this! and my team of advisors / editors / supporters are planning a Book Launch for February 2, 2013. I have tried to upload a copy of the poster here but "blogger" is not allowing me to upload any pictures! I understand this is an issue with them at this moment in time. Hope they soon get it fixed! Anyway - if you go to facebook you may see the poster...
Thank you for being patient with me!
I will return - I have some "new stuff" from Stampin' Up! that I haven't even looked at yet! Hoping to do that today! And I will have some creations ... and hopefully I can upload the pics.
Enjoy the snow - stay safe and warm!
Blessings ...

Happy New Years Day in the Secret Garden!
Here it is ... another year! May this one be a blessed year for you all! May it be filled with peace and love and joy!
My New Years Resolution every year for the past 5 years or so has been to take a Scripture that God has given to me and make it mine! By that I mean to memorize it and live it out in my life! Sometimes that has been a painful process as He does the necessary work in this ole gal! I decided to make myself and 2 friends a little booklet to write quotes and scripture in - I found these file folder booklets at the local WM store - covered them with DSP from the new Print Poetry DSP available in the new Spring Catalogue as of January 2. I randomly stamped a small image on some of the pages...
Just before Christmas I was able to make a card using lots of new "stuff" - here you will see more of the Print Poetry DSP, Secret Garden stamps and framelits... available in the Spring Catalogue. I had received the Trust God stamp set in December and this is the first chance I had to use it... Love this sentiment! :) Oh yes! Love that Woodgrain embossing folder!
I also used the Framelits Labels Collection and did some paper piercing.
Here is the flower close up ... shaded with ink and blender pen, and then "painted" with shimmer paint. (you don't see this very well in the picture)
Have a wonderful day! Hubby is "puttering" - actually we have a broken pipe so he is trying to fix that! Think I'll go "play" in the craft room!
Thanks for stopping by...
HUGS and blessings!

Final Christmas Cards of 2012
Hey Stampers!
I guess the countdown is on now, aye? One week from today is Christmas Eve... I still think we lost a week or so in December somehow / somewhere. Over the weekend we had the opportunity to attend two different Chritmas presentations - the music and the message were wonderful!
Today I have the final cards I have made for Christmas - within a few days I will have a sneak peek for you of something from the new Spring catalogue (mini).
Thanks for peeking today... I hope you are not allowing the busy-ness of this time of year to get in the way of the peace and joy that comes with the celebrations!
Merry CHRISTmas to all!

Come to Bethlehem...
Good morning stampers!
I have a quick post for you today... a couple cards we made at Klub on Saturday. We had a Christmas potluck! Wow! We had enough food to feed an army, I think! Then we made these cards!
Here is the first one using a new-to-me set ... we used Crumb Cake CS and DSP, Early Espresso ink - I may have to make a few more cards using this set! LOL!
Here is card #2 - using the Apothecary Art stamp set and the dies to match.... I know this isn't your typical Christmas set but thought I'd give it a try - and it works for me! LOL!
I have one more posting of Christmas cards which will come in the next couple of days... after that, the Christmas sets are put away for another year. On to other "stuff"!
Have a great day and remember to keep SIMPLICITY a key element in your Christmas!
Merry CHRISTmas everyone!

Oh, Christmas Tree...
Hi Stampers...
I've been busy making Christmas cards... had a friend stop by yesterday afternoon after she finished work and we spent a couple hours making cards! Such fun ! Here are a few of them!
These first 2 are made with that "old stand-by" set ... Lovely As A Tree. I have cased this one but don't remember from whom! The differnece in the 2 cards is the DSP placement and the ribbon adn crochet trim.
This next one is not a Stampin' Up! stamp ... I have had this little guy for a few years - isn't he the cutest thing you ever saw? I realize these are not the traditional Christmas colors but they are 2 of my fav together! Hope you enjoy!
Have a wonderful weekend!

November Klub
Wow! Is it cold enough for yah? The wind is very raw today!
Here are the cards we made at our November Klub get-together...
This first one is pretty simple ... I had started out making an all-white card, but then decided to use some of the flocked Christmas paper so had to make it "red and white" - love the simplicity of it.
This card uses the snowflake die - two shades of blue - a lighter one behind the darker to create a shadow effect ...
Here is the inside using the two little snowflakes from the die...
This one is my fav I think! I love snowmen and he is just soooo cute! Tiddly work but love the end result!
These next 2 pics are some of the girls' creations
This card uses the NEW single stamp - Bold Snowflake ... embossed with Cherry cobbler embossing powder, as well as the sandable CS.
I have been creating Christmas cards for the past 2 hours ... came out of my craft room to post these for you - and after about 1/2 hour I heard a loud crash. Back to the craft room to find that the wheel had come off one of my rolling carts and it has toppled over ... what a mess I now have to go in and clean up! Oh well! I'm considering it all JOY! :)
Have a great weekend!

The Golden Bird
Good Afternoon!
I have been very neglectful of this blog and my stamping - Card Klub met here last Saturday and I took some pics which I'll post over the next couple days!
In the mean time I have been finishing up my FIRST EVER RUG HOOKED piece! What a fun thing to do...something I have always wanted to try my hand at. TA DA! Here she is - the "Golden Bird"! There were only 2 students in the class which made it great for personal time with the teacher. Each one of us hooked the same pattern but in our own color schemes.
I will use this as a table runner in the Kitchen or on the small table in the Sunroom...Of course, I did my own thing! For example the small flowers on the ground, and the yellow on the tips of the buds; and my initial.
Yesterday I started my second piece - designed by me. It is a "doodle" of my own which I will adapt to an 18" x 15" piece. This is being hooked on linen while the Golden Bird was hooked on burlap.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed day... Remember to keep CHRIST in CHRISTmas!

MORE Frosty Friends
Good Rainy Afternoon!
At least that is what it is doing here in this little part of Nova Scotia! Sure isn't "snowman weather". However, I love snowmen and I have 2 more Frosty Friends cards for you today. I sponged the snowflake die cutouts and then added glitter. Aren't they pretty?
Thanks for stopping by!

Frosty Friends
Well - sure isn't frosty weather here! Whoa! Temperatures of 12 - 17 degrees C. However, it is time to get a-going on the Christmas cards. Here is one I made using the stamp called Frosty Friends - aren't they cute? As you can see I used a piece of the sandable CS and some DSP - I really like the brown, red, and green together.
Here is the inside... using the single "Merry Christmas" stamp...
And then I spent some time coloring - using markers and blender pens ... now to go make the cards!
See you later - enjoy this awesome weather...

Lovely As A Tree
Good morning everyone!
I am back after having had a good break. I have been enrolled in a rug hooking class - and loving it! I will show you my first project once it is completed. For now, here are two cards I made using this most versatile set of all time - "Lovely As A Tree".
Card #1: I used the oak leaf as the primary focus; stamped it and embossed it with clear embossing power - which really doesn't show in the picture; and attempted to make the card sort of shabby in appearance.
Card #2: using River Rock and Old Olive ink I used two different stamps from the set; added some glitter, DSP, and ribbon for a very simple Christmas card.
Card #2 inside...
Thanks for stopping by. Comments are much appreciated. Will return in a couple days.

In EVERYTHING Give Thanks
Good Morning...
Just a quick post this morning as I have a busy day lined up! I made this card the other eveniing after my order from Stampin' Up! came in... I had just received the woodgrain folder and the Sandable CS in Early Espresso... so - for sure - I had to make a card with them! LOL! I know you know what I'm talking about!
I cut some leaves using the Big Shot die - spritzed them with water, crinbkled them up ... let them dry and then sponged them with ink; adhered them together with an antique brad and popped them on the woodgrain embossed CS.
How easy was that!?!
Enjoy your day - it's a beauty!

Oh Christmas Tree ....
Hi Stampers!
Hope you are lovin` this beautiful Fall Day!
I arrived home yesterday after a full day in town... and found 4 boxes from Stampin' Up! on my doorstep. I should have taken a picture! Took me a while to get it all sorted and bagged up ... Lots of gals out there will be enjoying "new stuff" this weekend!
Here is the Christmas card I made the other day! The card is an adaptation of a couple different cards I had seen on Pinterest - do you go there? Whoa! What a place!
The tree is made from half a circle and it is all in the folding! So easy to do once you know how to make the folds. Of course, glitter and bling had to be added to make this card shine!
Here is a close up of the tree...
Thanks for peeking today!
Have a wonderful weekend...
for all you local gals - don`t forget the Fall Fling at the Lions Club tomorrow from 10-1 ... admission is a Toonie; all Make and Takes are a Toonie each... so get your bills changed into those Toonies and come have some stampin`fun!
HUGS!
