SAB and Mixed Bunch!

HEY! TGIF!
I hope today sees your week winding down so you will have a quiet, relaxing weekend! Again, this has been a "crazy" week for me .... so I am glad to see Friday roll around!
Here is a card we made at our Kreations Klub a week ago ... the DSP, ribbon, brad, and stamp set are all SAB items! The ribbon and brads come together in a package with a second roll of ribbon in the Lucky Limeade color - so some of the girls made their bow using the 2 colors of ribbon and it was really pretty!

I have a second card for you today .... I made this a while back - as you know I LOVVVEEE this set - Mixed Bunch. I don't know what there is about it but it certainly has an attraction for me! I stamped one of the flowers on black CS - using versamark ink - and then embossed it with white embossing powder. Isn't it gorgeous?
Here is the simple card I made with this flower ....
Thanks for peeking in today! I hope you enjoyed your visit! Have a wonderful weekend!

UDI Color Challenge #18

Well! Here I am back with a second post today.
The weather sure has changed and I guess that storm is here! Who knew?
Anyway - In my daily "stampin' blog" visits I found this color challenge: Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, Concord Crush, Very Vanilla - isn't this bouquet of flowers gorgeous? Almost makes me forget that it is snowing outside!
I decided to make a card for this challenge and here it is!

The picture doesn't do it justice, for sure! I didn't have any AA ribbon so I dyed a piece of white organza with sponge and ink .. gotta love that. Did some sponging, embossing, layering, embellishing - and there you have it? You can't see by the picture but I layered each mat...

Fairly often I will complete a card and it just isn't what I had pictured in my mind ... that is what has happened with this one. I think it needs White and Old Olive instead of the colors I used .... so sometime today I will make another one - the same but different!!! Ever done that? Oh, I bet you have!
For now...
Stay warm, stay safe!
((((hugs))))

Scallops, Scallops, and More Scallops!

No! No!
Not the "fish" kind - I don't like them!
Paper Scallops!
The other day I received a S. Up! order with the Scallop Circle Die (large one) in it.... just had to put it too use. Here are 2 Scallop cards I made by folding the CS in half and placing the fold just below the edge of the die so that the fold remains after the CS has been run through the die. Hope that makes sense. :)

Once I had the circles cut I embossed them with embossing folders. Then I stamped on the larger scallop from the Scallop Circle #2 die - colored the images and - voila! There you have it! A small, simple card!

I know! I know! Who ever heard of a pink swan! She is my original! ;)
Hope you had a good day today and enjoyed your peek here!
Blessings!

Iridescent Ice Cardinal

Good afternoon!
I see SUNSHINE!
After mega rain and people stranded and roads washed out and bridges destroyed.... the rain has stopped and the sun is shining! Hallelujah!

Just a quick post to share a card I just completed - using Whisper White and Soft Suede. I used VersaMark and Iridescent Ice embossing powder on the Cardinal image... and used a strip of a piece of white CS embossed in the CB ( I brayered the Vintage Wallpaper folder from S. Up! and ran it thru the CB to give this neat wallpaper look.) I debated adding a ribbon of another color and decided against it. I like this with just the 2 colors. Hope you do too!

Thanks for stopping by...
Have a great day! Keep the Son shining in your heart!

Christmas Medallion

HI...
Hope you stayed dry last night! We did but I've heard some news today that some people didn't.... I hope the insurance companies are up to paying out for damage caused by the terrible wind and rain we received!

I had a brainwave this afternoon - I remember seeing a Christmas card somewhere using the Medallion stamp - so I came up with my own version. I love this! So simple!
  • stamp the medallion
  • stamp the bells and bow with Versa mark
  • emboss bells and bow with Gold embossing powder
  • cut circle from gold CS
  • using popdots raise Embossed image on CS
  • adhere to medallion center
and there you have it .... a simple Christmas Card....

Here is another one - using Pacific Point ----
Oh my! My head is spinning at the possibilities of colors one could use!!!!
Happy Stampin' !
See you next week!

This is just a quick post before I finally get to work! Have a great day!
Thanks for peekin' in!
Blessings on yah!

Emboss & Color

Hi all! It's nice to see some sunshine coming in the windows! I thought I'd share with you a card I made along the same style as the one yesterday.... however, I did something a little different on the Top Note - I stamped the flowers and leaves with versamark and embossed them in white! Then I took my markers and blender pens and did some coloring on them ... I really like the end result!
Enjoy! Have a great day!

Blessings!
