Three Little Words...

Good Morning!
Hope you didn't blow away yesterday and are still around to peek in this morning!

I saw a card with some ribbon framed on it and thought I would try something similar - here is my rendition! I used Barely Banana CS and ribbon; black CS; the eyelet punch; stamp set "Three Little Words"; & Top Note. I left this without a sentiment because I think I could use it for a number of different occasions! What do you think?
I'm also giving you a closeup of the ribboon!

Hugs and smiles!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge#17 on Tuesday!

Hi everyone!
Here is my take on the SSSC17 from "the sweetest thing" at http://kgiron.blogspot.com/
Of course, I swayed from the sketch a little.... but you know how it is! Once the juices get going it's hard to stop them... I used a topnote, cut in half for the top part of the card - I rather like this and will do it again! I've never seen this done but I'm sure somebody out there has tried it!
I will definitely use this sketch for more cards!
I took some pictures yesterday and am thinking of putting out a color challenge to you all later this week... I will try and figure out how Mr. Linky works - otherwise it'll be a "do your own thing"!
More later!
Blessings!

Make & Take Redos!

Hi everyone!!
I hope all the moms had a great Mother's Day! My girl and her family have been away and arrived home late last night... she called me as soon as they got in! I hope to see them real soon!!!

Here is a BEFORE pic of the Make and Takes I prepared for the Spring Fling!
On my way to bed last night I was "pulled into" my craft room [funny how that happens! ] :) .... so I did a redo of the 2 Make and Takes ... I didn't sell all of the packets I had prepared so I will use them to make all occasion cards for people ... my Secret Sister, friends, etc... maybe even sell some, and use some in a workshop! The week coming up is a fairly "easy" week so I should be able to do a couple challenges! Hope so!

AFTER #1
AFTER #2
Enjoy!
Thanks for stopping by!

Hi All!
I am so thankful for my friends! God has blessed my life with beautiful women who love me no matter what! and I them! How awesome is that? :)

I just rec'd this new set and had to ink it up right away! Here are 2 quilted Top Notes I was in the process of putting together and I decided to show them off in 2 different ways using the same set! Hope you enjoy!

Have a wonderful day!
May it be filled with creativity! and lots of love!

Glittery Flamingo!

Hi All!
This will be short and sweet - the next few days are busy ones for me between Bible study, Counseling, Dr. appt, doing some work on the design of my Devotional blog..... I'll see you some time on Friday - hopefully I'll have another addition by then.

Here is a card I made from the DSP "Pink Famingo" - I'm not so much into the flamingos as I am into the colors: Chocolate Chip, Summer Sun, Real Red, Tempting Turquoise, Cameo Coral.
I cut a piece with the flamingo on it with the Top Note and then added lots of glitter...

Enjoy!
Blessings and Hugs, and may the Lord be with you!

Hi Everyone!

And hate to see them leave! I have some major Laundry to do!!!! actually Hubby started it for me before I even got out of bed this morning (which was later than usual!) :0

I have some major "stampin' " to do to catch up..... yah! "catch up" - I'm behind a couple pages on my 6X6 scrapbook re. the "Attributes of God" - that's my goal today - to finish them; and to do some writing.
Here are 2 cards I made last week with the Wagon Full of Fun set ... love this potted flower.

A Wonderful Day!

Good Morning!
Isn't it great to see the sun? It's time for me to get outside and get to work in my gardens - that almost seems like a daunting project this year! I hope not.
For today I have a very clean and simple (CAS) card to show you using the flower pot from the Wagon Full of Fun set in the Occasions Mini! I must say that this flower pot and flower have become a fav. of mine! One of the sentiments is "Treat yourself to a wonderful day!" I hope you will do that today!
Have a great Easter weekend...my girl and her hubby and their girl are coming home tonight! Can't wait to see them!
Gotta run! I'm off to church for the Women's Study - we're doing Beth Moore's study of "Esther - It's Tough Being a Woman!" But Hey! you know what? I wouldn't have it any other way!
Blessings and hugs,

Digital Paper!

HEY!
This blog just passed the 1000 "peeks" mark! How awesome is that?!!!!
I have a card to show you that I made using some "digital paper"...

Until the other day I wasn't even sure what "digital paper" was... I was on StampTV with Gina K... and saw a tab saying "freebies" - of course that caught my attention. Checked it out - found some paper give aways... downloaded them, saved them , then printed a few pages on white cardstock! On this card I used the striped quilted patterened paper - cut it with the Top Note and voila! Enjoy!
There is a stampers group set up for Nova Scotia on Stamp TV - at present there are only 8 members... those of you from our beautiful province might want to check this out, too!
Have a great day!

Quilted Comfort

Good Morning Crafters!
Just a quick post before I prepare for my day.... I have a Workshop this afternoon - gotta finish packing for it! And have to run to town to pick up more Catty's - my downline - Sherry - put my order in with hers and they are here!
I saw a card done this way on Chic n' Scratch the other day and knew I had to try it before the day was out. So this one is totally cased from "Angie" - check out her blog and you'll find lots of great inspiration!Cut a 5 x 3& 3/4 piece of CS; cut DSP in squares (1 1/4 square); adhere the squares to the CS; run through Top Note; stitching is done using a marker; sponge the edges; embellish ... and Voila! a gorgeous card that can be used for any occasion!!! Have a great weekend! I will have my granddaughter with me next week for a few days so probably won't be posting as much - but you never know! :) I sure will enjoy her!!!
Blessings!

An Easter Card!

Hey!
So glad to be here! Finally! I was having withdrawals this morning! Our Internet has been "down" since Sunday sometime! I hope the problem has been fixed!
I haven't done a lot of card making this past week as it seems I haven't been home much! Yesterday a gal visited who hasn't done much stamping and we made a bunch of cards ... this being one of them! I used the new Stampin' Up! Eyelet Border Punch (which I love!) - and was going to do the complete edge of the card, when I realized the nice effect it was to leave the straight edge in place... this is the result! I placed some DSP inside the card so that when it is closed the eyelet area really stands out. The stamp set is from Our Daily Bread Designs.
Enjoy! And have a great "rest of the day" -

Valentine 'Venture '09

Hi All -
Here are the samples for the Stamp-N-Stack held last Saturday

On Saturday I had some gals in to do a Valentine Stamp-N-Stack! It's always a fun time to get together and we learn much from each other! I've had a bad cold these past couple days ... but just had a burst of energy... re-organized my stamps, my stamping table, and am now working on my ribbon collection! Didn't know I had so much ribbon!
Here's a couple of the girls in deep concentration!
One of the girls filled her TopNote bag with her cards!
Just of few of the kreations!

Hope you're having a great day!
Remember to count your blessings - count them one by one!
Joy to you!

Refuge and Strength

Hey!

This card uses all Stampin' Up! supplies:
Pink Pirouette for the background; Whisper White Top Note cut-out (as you can see I only used 1/2 of the Top Note); Raspberry Tart DSP; Pink Pirouette and Riding Hood Red inks; Refuge and Strength stamp set; Whisper White taffeta ribbon.
Isn't it wonderful that our God is concerned about everything that touches our lives? No matter how big or small!
This is a new set to me ... I just rec'd it the other day - have wanted it for awhile and decided the time had come to invest in it!
I trust your day is filled with good things!

Blessings,
Ruthie

And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
