MoJo Monday 80 & Our Creative Corner Challenge

Hi All!
This is my 2nd post today (30th).... meaning I won't be posting on Tuesday! I finally finished 2 of the projects I planned on doing today - other "stuff" got in the way and .... well! you know how it goes! :)
I combined the Mojo Monday sketch challenge with the OCC challenge ...which is a color challenge this week - using More Mustard, Not Quite Navy, and Bashful Blue! This seemed like an odd combo to me but I really like the finished card! So there you go! You never know how it will turn out until you're at the end of the project! Love that!
I apologize for the poor quality pic! If anyone out there has some suggestions for me on taking better pics I'd love your feedback! Thanks
Enjoy!

BLEACHING

HEY!
Are you nice and dry this morning? Boy! Did it rain and blow last night! I was awake at one point and there was thunder and lightning....that's a sure sign of spring, isn't it? I did some bleaching the other day - here are 2 cards I made using that technique - I used the flower from Embrace Life - this is a technique I've tried in the past and I'm still not sure if I like the result or not!
There is a great tutorial for this technique with Gina K. on Stamp TV... I like what she did with it.
I have 3 challenges to do today ... Mojo Monday; and 2 for my 6X6 "His Holy Name" scrapbook... gotta get cracking! :)
Thanks for stopping by!

Digital Paper!

HEY!
This blog just passed the 1000 "peeks" mark! How awesome is that?!!!!
I have a card to show you that I made using some "digital paper"...

Until the other day I wasn't even sure what "digital paper" was... I was on StampTV with Gina K... and saw a tab saying "freebies" - of course that caught my attention. Checked it out - found some paper give aways... downloaded them, saved them , then printed a few pages on white cardstock! On this card I used the striped quilted patterened paper - cut it with the Top Note and voila! Enjoy!
There is a stampers group set up for Nova Scotia on Stamp TV - at present there are only 8 members... those of you from our beautiful province might want to check this out, too!
Have a great day!

Stamps & Smiles Sketch Challenge #8 - Spring Song!

'Morning!
Thanks for stopping by!
I received some new DSP a couple nights ago! It's called Bella Bleu - coordinating colors are Vanilla, Not Quite Navy, Kraft - and of course, all these colors can be mixed and matched with more vibrant colors! As some of you know I have been a hoarder of DSP - but have been "letting go" for the past few months and using it!
I did the challenge at Stamps & Smiles ... and quite like the result! Hope you do too!
I just love this little bird - I colored him with markers and a blender pen - using Not Quite Navy and So Saffron - I've never seen a little fellow like this at my feeders but that doesn't mean he isn't out there somewhere! Right?

Ribbon Rose

Hi Everyone!
I imagine this is TGIF for some of you! I know that when I worked outside the home I was always so glad to see Friday roll around! :)
I have so much to show you - I have had to restrain myself from putting it all on one post! LOL!!!

I found this great tutorial for the Ribbon Rose - and it is so easy!!!! - check out this site:

Here is my first attempt at using this Rose as an embellishment - I'm sure I'll be using it again and again!
Have a great day!
Remember - "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it."
Blessings on yah!
