Christmas Swaps #1

Hey all!
Sorry it took me so long to get back here.... Wednesday and today have passed by like a whirlwind!
Here are some of the card front swaps I received the other day... Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

These first 2 have no info on them as to who made them....

 This one was designed by Jenni Daniels in Saskatchewan... she has used the new glass glitter in the middle of the snowflakes .... I like it here!

I 'll have a couple more for you ... probably on Saturday! Tomorrow [Friday] is a day of retreat for me.... I have some praying & studying to do as well as some reading for pleasure - so I'm turning on the Praise and Worhsip music; making a big pot of coffee; and locking the door... Hubby goes to work at 11 and gets home around 9 p.m. .... so the day is mine!

Some Oldies...

Good morning!
I had a busy day yesterday - no card making or anything else as I and a friend went on the Valley to pick up baby chicks for hubby... that is his "every-other-Tuesday" routine, but he was busy in the abattoir and someone had to do it! So guess who gave in...... 6 hours in the truck ... my back feels it today!

I have received the swaps from the Christmas swap I joined ... I will be showing you some of these card fronts tomorrow and later days....

But - for today I have 3 oldies that I have never posted .... so - here goes!

An Envie of Flowers!

Good morning all!
Another gorgeous Fall day!
Here is a card we made at Klub the other night... I used the folding Tag from Two Tags Die Cut - folded it into a small envelope, and filled it with flowers spilling everywhere! I saw a similar card (somewhere) with hearts spilling out. We didn't put a sentiment on this ... left that for later.

Kreations Klub - September

Good Morning everyone!
Before I show you what we did at Klub last night I just have to tell you this.... Teddie (my Yorkie) has misplaced one of his toys - apparently it is his favorite one - he whines b/c none of the others will do! I thought it might be on the deck so stepped outside on this brisk fall morning to look for it - didn't find it. He probably has hidden it somewhere - neither he nor I know where at this moment. I told him he had to look after his toys better but I don't think he paid much attention to me! :0

We had our first Klub get-together last night... and of course, we had lots of fun! I won't show you all the pic today ... more will come tomorrow.

I try to do a different technique each month - one of the gals keeps her technique card and her sample in a binder so she can refer back to them! How organized is that! It's all I can do to keep my cards together on a ring! :)

Our technique this month was "Distressed Glue" ....

Above you see my technique card and here is the card I made using this technique..... not sure I like this. I think it is the two colors I used together. I love this new Label Punch and this set - Bells and Boughs

Here is another card I made a few weeks ago using this technique and I really like it .... must be the colors!

This is Deb's take on the technique and the card.... everyone adds their own style to the cards ... it's cool to see what they all do!

Ladies SPA Weekend....

Good afternoon!
I have been busy this morning....
I am getting ready to go to a Ladies Spa Weekend at Camp Peniel ... starts this evening and finishes up Sunday noon. Lots of pampering for the body, spirit, and soul. Can't wait!

There is always a silent auction and I want to take a package or two of blank note cards.... so am finishing them up now.

Merry Christmas

Good Afternoon!
Hope everyone is having a good day after the weekend!
I am doing laundry, dishes, cleaned a cupboard out, cleaned my craft room... and finally made the card fronts (11 of them) I needed to make for a Stampin'Up! Demonstrators Christmas Card swap I entered ... gotta run and get them in the mail.

Here is my card front... I will receive 10 others from other demos in Canada... it is exciting to see what other demos are doing! Hope they like my card front! :)

Itsy-Bitsy Spider.....

Good Morning!
And a nice morning it is!

As I always do in the morning.... I came downstairs to the kitchen - which always seems to explode overnight - made a pot of coffee, began to clean up, start the dishwasher, clean the sink etc, etc. I looked out the kitchen window and saw a magnificent spider's web .... from the railing of the deck to the clothes line. I don't know what it is but I have a fascination with spider webs.

Spiders - don't like 'em! Webs - love 'em. They are such wonderful works of art .... made by a creepy little creature... a creature created by our magnificent God! This guy must have worked all night at this one!

Needless to say - I don't have a card to show you - just a few pics!

Paisley Prints

Hey everyone!
Looks like rain out there right now!
Hope there will be some thunder! I Love the sound of thunder!!! :)

Here is a card I made this afternoon using the new set Paisley Prints ... I love this set as it has Fall stamps, a Christmas Tree stamp, Heart stamps.... very versatile!
I was thinking about making some fall cards and here is my first one... I popped everything and used lots of colors!

Labor of Love... on Labor day!

A Labor of Love....

Cards for the Troops...

A few years ago a stamping buddy of mine (way to go, Cindy!!!) asked some of us to help her make cards to send to the troops - so they would have handmade cards... made with love and prayer - to send home to their families. We have been doing this for quite a while now.

It is now time to make Christmas Cards for them ...

Cindy has asked for 600 by the end of September.

If you are in the local area and are reading this - and do some stamping - feel free to join us ...

all cards may be dropped off at the Yarmouth Wesleyan Church.

I have been working on my stash.... made almost entirely with Stampin' Up! product {new and old} - although I have used the occasional stamp from elsewhere.

Please remember to pray for the guys and gals overseas - and for their families.

Anything But a Card ....

NO - I haven't gone crazy and started creating boxes or such!
We have a new addition to our family - another 4-legged "person" has come into our life....
Kev arrived home from the Valley late yesterday with another Border Collie Puppy... along with his chickens!
Teddie is not sure what to make of this guy! Knowing him (Teddie) he will soon put him in his place! LOL!

We are temporarily calling him FRECKLES - unitl we get Madison's approval! :)

Isn't he a cutie???
