Quick & Simple OSW

Hi All!
Wasn't it wonderful to see SunShine today???? WhooHoooooooooo! So nice to be able to be outside!
I've been pretty "lazy" these past few days when it comes to writing and to making cards!!! Guess I've been 'busy' with other stuff! I did haul out an old set the other day and stamped a whole sheet of Whisper White with it... Priceless. I had decided to do a package of cards with an old "technique" of the one sheet wonder (OSW)... stamped on the white with Basic Brown, Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie and Summer Sun... colors I haven't used for a while either! Tonight I looked at the table and decided to put this one together! I used Apricot Appeal for the base CS; AA ribbon; some miscellaneous dew drops. This package of cards will be for someone special! I'll share more as I get them done!

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you soon!

Pretties and Herbs

Hi All!
Well - we saw brief moments of sunshine yesterday! Maybe that's a good sign????
Here is a simple card I made using the new set Herb Expressions... with Soft Suede as the basic color and Dusty Durango as the complimentary color .... I like these 2 together. I added a flower from the Pretties kit .... cut it down as the original size was too large for this card... added an embroidered flower [almost the exact color so I had to use it! :0 ] and a Fligree Brad...

Here's a view of the inside...

Have a wonderful day!

Of The Earth - again

Good Monday Morning!
Trust you all survived another wet weekend! Trying to find something to be thankful for in all this wetness - I guess I must say I'm glad I don't live in an area where there are hurricanes and tornadoes. My heart goes out to people who have experienced such things and the devastation that can occur with them.

On a lighter note -
I made this card the other day using Rich Razzleberry, Orchid Opulence, White, and the Cottage Wall DP ... I love the colors in this DP ... it was hard for me to restrain myself from using the Old Olive that goes with it... but I did it! and kept this all in the same color family! I quite like the result - hope you do too!

Have a great day! *** HUGS ***

Of The Earth

Good Morning!
Hubby came in the house earlier and exclaimed, "I'm getting really tired of going out to "feed the farm" every morning and getting soaked in the process." It is another rainy day here! To me that says I can be guilt-free for crafting all day b/c I can't get outside to do anything! :0 It also means I should have lots to show you next week! Let's hope!
This is a card I made a few days ago with the Level One Hostess Set "Of The Earth"... using the new colors... I seem to keep returning to them! :) Nothing spectacular here - a simple card - one thing I have found is that when I'm unsure of a mat color, or need a "pop", black is the way to go!

Have a great day! Rejoice in it - regardless of the weather! ***HUGS***

Stand Up card

Morning everyone!
Another wet one! I'm trying really hard not to let the weather depress me! How about you?

A friend visited me last evening and we stamped for 2 hours... haven't done that in a long time!
I found this card yesterday at "the creative closet by cindy lawrence" -http://onehappystamper.typepad.com/
She is one of my favs.... I check in with her almost every day just to see what she is up to! Yesterday she had this beautiful "Stand Up" card using the new DP Cottage Wall and Rich Razzleberry - I had just rec'd my DP and the Herb Expression stamp set so we cased this card last night... little "tiddly" getting the DP cut and positioned correctly but I love the end result... and the colors! Well! What can I say! Aren't they gorgeous?

This is the view looking down on the card...
This card is very easy to make:
a) Take a piece of 12 X 12 CS and cut at 51/2 by 12.
b) Score at 2", 4", 8", 10".
c) Measure 3" down from top on each outer side
d) Make a diagonal cut from the 3-inch mark to the top point of the 4" score point ... repeat on the other side cutting diagonally from the 3-inch mark to the top point of the 8" score point. this leaves you with a full size card front.
e) The rest is up to you!!!! Let your creative juices flow!
Have a great day!
Thanks for peeking!

A Thank You Card!

Hey!
I did get something made today.... actually have accomplished a lot and it's only mid-afternoon. In the midst of everything I managed to make a simple thank you card using Nesties and Cuttlebug folder. I used the negative side of the CB piece as it stood out more! A friend gave me two new folders for my birthday - this is one of them!
Hope you're having a good day! REMEMBER - This IS the day!!!!
Thanks for stopping by.

Color Throwdown!

Good Saturday Morning!
WOW! I feel the humidity today!
Here is another Color Throwdown Challenge!
Here is my card for this challenge: I don't have any Lavendar Lace - it is on order - so I used Lovely Lilac; I used both Garden Green and Old Olive; the water lily is from ODBD Mother Teresa - I colored it with markers and blender pen (my favorite way to color); and used a piece of ribbon from a Birthday Gift - it matches perfectly with these colors!
I totally cased this design from Barbara Anders at http://barspaperpursuits.blogspot.com/ - she does beautiful work! Also used the Nesties and a CB folder.

Have a wonderful weekend

Let Us Begin...

Hi all!
Wasn't yesterday the most spectacular day yet? WOW!
I rec'd some new stamps from Our Daily Bread Designs yesterday.... didn't ink them up till the evening as it was too nice to be inside!
Here is my first card with these sets... I used Cameo Coral and Old Olive CS. The sentiment is from the set "Let Us Begin" and the flower stamp is from the set called "Grow in Grace"... the sentiments in both sets are really nice! Can't wait to use them all!

I popped one flower; used the Nesties called Deckled Rectangles; & Dew Drops. Have a great day and keep the creative juices flowing!

Be Still ... Angel

Hi all!
Hope you had a good weekend ...
Here we go again! Another week has started!
I have a Workshop to prepare for - for Wednesday night!
I have a BIG birthday on Thursday - my daughter and granddaughter are coming home Thursday evening for 3 days! Can't wait to see them and love on them!

Here is a card I made Saturday evening... the stamped image is one a friend brought to me - she found the angel stamp at our local Dollar Store. Isn't she cute? I colored her with markers and blender pen; popped her on a Nestie (Large Scallop Oval); used Crushed Curry Ribbon;
the CS is non-Stampin' Up! paper I have in my stash. The sentiment is from Clear Dollar Stamps.
Have a wonderful day!

"Just Shellin'"

Good Saturday Morning!
I am off to the Market this morning! It's always such fun!
Here is a quick post with another Clear Dollar Stamp ... I did not order this one - it was sent to be as a complimentary set! How cool is that?
Aren't these turtles cute? "Just chillin' - ahhh- I mean shellin'!"
Enjoy!
Have a great day!

WHATEVER!

Hi all!
"WHATEVER" ---- Do you say this?
I hear it all the time!
However, I like the way it is used here... this is one of my favorite Scriptures... the stamps are from Clear Dollar Stamps...unmounted -used with an acrylic block. They are so pliable you can shape them - which is what I did with the Scripture stamp! Cool, Aye?
Also used one of my CuttleBug butterflies and some dew drops... pretty simple - but hey! sometimes "Less is more"!

Isn't this the most awesome day? I'm taking my book and some lunch and heading for the deck! Maybe I'll see you tomorrow! If not - have a great weekend and I'll see you on Monday!! Thanks for stopping by!

Praying Charlie

Here's a card made with "Praying Charlie" - the horse - from Clear Dollar Stamps. He is just too cute... I stamped him on Kraft CS; used Flower Soft for grass and flowers that he is kneeling in! The ribbon is Crushed Curry and the DP is some I picked up in my travels.... in other words... this simple card is made from bits and pieces of scraps... with a new stamp!
Have a wonderful day!

At the Workshop!

I just have to share this with you! We played a game last night called "What's in your purse?" I had a list of about 24 items ... they got 1 point for each item - of course, the one with the most points was the winner! Here's the smallest pourse there...
These next 2 pics show you some of the purses there - some were huge!
Note the small basket at the lower left corner .... they made one of these as well as a card.

Look at that yellow one - she even had some stickles in it!!! :)

Laughter is good medicine - and we sure laughed at the digging that went on! Looking for a WalMart receipt or a breath mint or a scrunchie... and so on!
This water jug was in one of them!
2 of the gals even had smaller purses inside the big ones - you know! Just in case!!!!!
What a hoot!
A good time was had by all - AND - the hostess recieved an oppporutnity for a level one AND a level two hostess set! She was thrilled!
Thanks for peeking in!

In Color Comparison Chart!

Hi everyone!
I have been getting ready for my first workshop with the new catty! I put together this comparison chart so we can see how the new In Colors compare with the standard colors! I got the idea from Mary Fish at Stampin' Pretty - she did something similar and posted it around the first of June.

Have a wonderful day and may it be a crafty one! Photobucket
