Another beauty of a day - but a little cooler than the past few!
Here is a card I made - cased from "As The Ink Dries" .... she had made one similar to this a few days ago.

This card will be a great way to showcase the new In Colors at my upcoming June Workshops....

Old and New ...

Hey Stampers!
How is your day going? This is a busy one for me!!! Three different meetings ... thankfully not all at one time! LOL!
A Dear Friend dropped in to make cards yesterday afternoon - I have 2 to show you that I made using some really old DSP, some current CS, and a new stamp set  (available June 1). I guess you could say that I LOVE this new set - Betsy's Blossoms .... and this big blossom! The sentiment is from the set Tea Shoppe ....

Please excuse the pictures ... guess they are "over-exposed" ...

These are 3 smaller blossoms from the same set... it's really hard to tell in the picture but I stamped the blossom three times without re-inking in between stamping ... so there are varying degrees of color here!
Thanks for peeking in here today!
Blessings on yah!

Lattice and Doilies

Good Morning Everyone!
Feels like a muggy one today!
Just a quick post before I run into the day! :)
This card was one that we made at our Card Club last weekend.... I love this Concord Crush CS -  but it is one of the In Colors that will be retiring at the end of the month. :(
I used the Lattice Die and the Delicate Doilies stamp set to complete the card ... we also made a DSP envelope to complement the card ... which I didn't take a picture of.
Thanks for stopping by today!
Keep smiling and "may the sun shine down on you!"

This set is a carry-over from the last mini and will be in the new catalogue! YEA!!!! The DSP is brand new - available June 1st - Floral District .... sooooo pretty.
For this card I used Daffodil Delight CS and Rich Razzleberry Ink.

Thanks for peeking!!!!
Have a wonderful day!

Betsy's Layered Blossom

Hi Stampers!
I worked on this card off-and-on yesterday ... many interruptions it seemed - that's a good thing though! LOL!
However, last evening I finally finished it and decided to take a picture of it in our sunroom. Before I show you the card I have to show you a pic of the beautiful scene that presented itself to me! We see some of the most amazing sunsets from our sunroom!!! One more thing to add to my gratitude list!

Here is the card I made using the set Betsy's Blossoms which will be available June 1 and onward...I used a piece of DSP from the Comfort Cafe; the primary colors are Cajun Craze and Midnight Muse (a new In Color). I used the scallop edgelit on the DSp; and added some Crochet trim.

As you can see ... I stamped the flower 3 times and cut it out and layered it! Also did the birds wings in the second color.

And finally - here is a view of the inside - very simple ... with a thin piece of DSP ...

Thanks for peeking in today ... my stamp club meets here this afternoon! Such fun!
HUGS to all!

Christmas Card....WHAT????

Good Afternoon!
I have my first Christmas Card of 2012 to show you today!
Imagine that!
The DSP that will be available as of June 1st is awesome.... Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, Very Vanilla .... I did all stamping with Early Espresso - using the Beautiful Season set. The ribbon is the new ribbon that will be available in all 5 of the 2012 -2014 In Colors.

I took these pictures outside... too much glare I think!

Most likely - in August - I will have a Christmas Stamp and Stack with this being one of cards we will make! More info will come as the summer progresses.
Have a wonderful weekend... for those of you that this is a long weekend - ENJOY the extra time off!
HUGS!!!

Summer Afternoon

Hey Everyone!
Isn't it great to see the sun???
I have a sneak peak for you today ... The image on this card is from the new and upcoming hostess set called Summer Afternoon - we have a swing just like this on our veranda ... and it is soooo relaxing to sit here on a summer afternoon - or morning or evening for that matter!

There are 3 of the 5 new In Colors presented here - the flower pot is "Raspberry Ripple"; the CS is "Summer Starfruit "; the green ribbon and leaves are "Gumball Green".

I had been experimenting with a new-to-me technique ... the grid technique. I decided to stamp the leaves from Betsy's Blossoms on the lattice grid - after I had smooched the grid with Baja Breeze. This picture does not do the Starfruit color justice... It will probably be one that will have to grow on some people. When I rec'd it the other day I figured it would be one I would not use much ... however, as I continued to look at it I must say it "grew on me"! This card is so much prettier in real life!!!!
LOVE the Gumball Green ...
Hopefully will have a Christmas card for you tomorrow - using the Gumball Green and Cherry Cobbler!

Thanks for stopping by today!
My catalogues still have not arrived ... hopefully that will happen tomorrow too!
HUGS to all!

Double Dutch / New & Old

Hi Stampers!
I haven't taken much time to stamp lately - been busy with other things! I did see a card done with the Double Dutch Fold and thought I'd give it a try! And ended up with 2 different cards... This first one has the new DSP Summer Smooches on it; however the stamp is from SAB so it has been retired

This second card uses SAB DSP and stamp, and the inside sentiment is from Herb Expressions which is retiring as of the end of May.

I have new stuff and catalogues arriving over the next 2 days!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on it! hopefully I'll have something to show you by the end of the week!

Keep stampin'! and Keep smilin'!

Retiring DSP - and - the New Catalogue!

Good Afternoon....
Are you enjoying this rain? The wells will be full after this, aye?
I have been playing around with the herringbone technique that I showed you a couple weeks ago ... using up some retiring DSP and just having some fun! :)
This first card uses the Mocha Morning DSP ... I so love this and am disappointed it won't be returning in the new catalogue.

Here are 2 more cards I made with this technique ... the stamp shown is from the retiring set Herb Expressions - I must say this will be a keeper for me though!

Well! For those of you who are waiting for info on the new 2012-2013 catalogue - I have previewed it on-line (at least twice - LOL!) and I must tell you I'm loving the way it is laid out! Very Inspirational! and ..... lots of new sets - I have a wish-list a mile long! Love the new ribbon! And the new In Colors for 2012 -2014! Oooooooooh can't wait for you all to see it!

I will be having an OPEN HOUSE on June 16 from 1 - 4 p.m .... show some new Stampin' Up! product; to share some new ideas; do a few "Make and takes" .... Hope to see you there.

Have a great "rest of the week" -
HUGS!

VERSA SHADOW

Hi Stampers!
Can't believe it has been a week since I last posted!
Stampin' Up! revealed the In Colors for 2012-2014 today and they are awesome!!!! Can't wait to get my hands on some and show you what is up!!!!
For now - you'll have to be happy with this. :)

This is a new technique - to me anyway --- Stamp your image with white ink and then take a VersaMarker and trace around the image - this leaves a "watermark" which creates a shadow effect! Love it! Works best on dark colored cardstock! Here I used Basic grey ....

I hope you will give this a try! Have a wonderful evening!
HUGS!
