Wow! Is it cold enough for yah? The wind is very raw today!
Here are the cards we made at our November Klub get-together...
This first one is pretty simple ... I had started out making an all-white card, but then decided to use some of the flocked Christmas paper so had to make it "red and white" - love the simplicity of it.
This card uses the snowflake die - two shades of blue - a lighter one behind the darker to create a shadow effect ...
Here is the inside using the two little snowflakes from the die...
This one is my fav I think! I love snowmen and he is just soooo cute! Tiddly work but love the end result!
These next 2 pics are some of the girls' creations
This card uses the NEW single stamp - Bold Snowflake ... embossed with Cherry cobbler embossing powder, as well as the sandable CS.
I have been creating Christmas cards for the past 2 hours ... came out of my craft room to post these for you - and after about 1/2 hour I heard a loud crash. Back to the craft room to find that the wheel had come off one of my rolling carts and it has toppled over ... what a mess I now have to go in and clean up! Oh well! I'm considering it all JOY! :)
Have a great weekend!

The Golden Bird
Good Afternoon!
I have been very neglectful of this blog and my stamping - Card Klub met here last Saturday and I took some pics which I'll post over the next couple days!
In the mean time I have been finishing up my FIRST EVER RUG HOOKED piece! What a fun thing to do...something I have always wanted to try my hand at. TA DA! Here she is - the "Golden Bird"! There were only 2 students in the class which made it great for personal time with the teacher. Each one of us hooked the same pattern but in our own color schemes.
I will use this as a table runner in the Kitchen or on the small table in the Sunroom...Of course, I did my own thing! For example the small flowers on the ground, and the yellow on the tips of the buds; and my initial.
Yesterday I started my second piece - designed by me. It is a "doodle" of my own which I will adapt to an 18" x 15" piece. This is being hooked on linen while the Golden Bird was hooked on burlap.
Thanks for stopping by!
Have a blessed day... Remember to keep CHRIST in CHRISTmas!

MORE Frosty Friends
Good Rainy Afternoon!
At least that is what it is doing here in this little part of Nova Scotia! Sure isn't "snowman weather". However, I love snowmen and I have 2 more Frosty Friends cards for you today. I sponged the snowflake die cutouts and then added glitter. Aren't they pretty?
Thanks for stopping by!

Frosty Friends
Well - sure isn't frosty weather here! Whoa! Temperatures of 12 - 17 degrees C. However, it is time to get a-going on the Christmas cards. Here is one I made using the stamp called Frosty Friends - aren't they cute? As you can see I used a piece of the sandable CS and some DSP - I really like the brown, red, and green together.
Here is the inside... using the single "Merry Christmas" stamp...
And then I spent some time coloring - using markers and blender pens ... now to go make the cards!
See you later - enjoy this awesome weather...

Lovely As A Tree
Good morning everyone!
I am back after having had a good break. I have been enrolled in a rug hooking class - and loving it! I will show you my first project once it is completed. For now, here are two cards I made using this most versatile set of all time - "Lovely As A Tree".
Card #1: I used the oak leaf as the primary focus; stamped it and embossed it with clear embossing power - which really doesn't show in the picture; and attempted to make the card sort of shabby in appearance.
Card #2: using River Rock and Old Olive ink I used two different stamps from the set; added some glitter, DSP, and ribbon for a very simple Christmas card.
Card #2 inside...
Thanks for stopping by. Comments are much appreciated. Will return in a couple days.
